WHAT IS THE PCF SPORTSATHON?
Kids helping kids. We are proud that 8 camps are taking part in the PCF Sportsathon this year. Every year during their camp season, campers participate in a sporting event collecting sponsors and raising money to benefit children with cancer. The money that we raise this year will be used for the purpose of supporting a Pediatric Oncology Nutrition and Integrative Medicine Program in one of the hospitals that we support. The goal of this program is to supplement conventional cancer treatment with complementary therapies to enhance the quality of life during treatment and long-term survival. Studies using these therapeutic modalities have established the powerful benefit of the mind-body connection.
