WHAT IS THE PCF SPORTSATHON?
Kids helping kids. We are proud that 8 camps are taking part in the PCF Sportsathon this year. Every year during their camp season, campers participate in a sporting event collecting sponsors and raising money to benefit children with cancer. The money that we raise this year will be used for the purpose of supporting a Density Gradient Fractionator. This state of the art equipment has been requested by a team of doctors we fund who are doing research into the causes of cancer in children. It is an item that is used to analyze defects which occur in cells of children with a pre-malignant condition. Eventually this work will unlock the fundamental causes of cancer in both children as well as adults.
