Pediatric Cancer FoundationPediatric Cancer Foundation Sportsathon

Since 1970, Pediatric Cancer Foundation has been working towards its mission to find a cure for childhood cancer. This non-profit charity raises money for research, state of the art equipment/instruments and patient/parent care for world renowned doctors at the hospitals PCF supports.

Due to the COVID 19 crisis many of our Sportsathon Camps have had to either shorten their seasons or sadly cancel for this summer. In an effort to continue our commitment to the camps who have been so supportive of us, we have made it possible to participate in our Sportsathons from home.

Kids helping kids. Every year during their camp season, campers participate in a sporting event collecting sponsors and raising money to benefit children with cancer. This summer we are extending the invitation to all campers and individuals to participate in our Sportsathon at home. In addition, if your camp is open and you and your camp would like to participate, please send your camp logo to us at:

Of course, if parents would like to join their kids, that would be fabulous too.

Funds raised this summer of 2020 will be used to sponsor a state of the art pieces of equipment designed to provide comfort and care to pediatric cancer patients. When working with children with cancer, the medical team depends on different tools to provide comfort and care to patients. Children receiving chemotherapy will have to undergo weekly blood draws in order to monitor their blood levels throughout their treatment. Unfortunately, at times, it is hard to detect a vein due to the patient's medical condition and the treatment they are receiving. These devices will allow the medical team to see a map of the veins underneath the skin's surface with the goal of improving patient care, comfort and safety while increasing the precision of our staff being able to perform an IV or blood draw on the first attempt.

There are many activities you can participate in from your home, while maintaining social distance.

Run, walk, swim, bike or do other FUN outdoor activities. Ask you friends and family to help you challenge yourself while supporting a worthy cause. Take a picture of yourself doing a fun activity and send it to us to post on our social media pages! You can also watch your goal thermometer go up on your page!! 13th Annual Sportsathon at Trail's End Camp (2019)

On July 14th once again, Trail's End campers took to their camp's fields and courts in an effort to make a difference in the lives of sick children. During the 13th Annual Sportsathon, groups of color coordinated energetic teenagers challenged each other at various games and sports during this annual overnight event. Each year the campers and staff truly embody the spirit of community in this meaningful and fun event, all with the goal of helping others; an event which has raised over $150,000 for PCF to date! PCF is so thankful for TEC's continued support of our Annual Sportsathon.
